Hi loves, I've been embroidering this little number in between working on a commission and my first kit. I'm so excited about it and can't wait to show you. It might not sound ground breaking, but for me it feels like a big deal and a milestone in my business and personal journey. I'm especially proud of myself for persevering despite self doubt, fear and some personal troubles I'm going through at the moment. I'm having a proper break from these squares (and London!) during half term but I'll be back with kit news very soon. Loads of love to you πŸ’•πŸ’•πŸ’• Thursday threads...I've always got time for a close up of some luscious stitches and these rows and clusters of textural joy are worth it I think! You can find out how to stitch this and lots of other gorgeous projects in issue 27 of @loveembroiderymagazine πŸ’•πŸ’•πŸ’• I'm all done with this sweet hoop now, achieved by embroidering lazy daisy stitches within the circles of this Broderie Anglaise fabric to create little flowers. I think it would look great as a cushion cover, but that will have to wait. This week I am working on a commission (for Christmas! πŸ˜†) and my first proper embroidery kit, which is very exciting...and nerve wracking. I hope you're having a good week so far lovelies 🌸🌸🌸 I'm ending the week with this colourful beauty, a new embroidery design I stitched up for @loveembroiderymagazine. Portraits are one of my things I think! You can find the pattern and tutorial in issue 27, which is out now. I'm so chuffed to have work in @loveembroiderymagazine again - it really does mean so much to me. As always there are lots of other wonderful patterns and embroidery artists featured. Enjoy your weekend loves! Just one more of my woman who grew wings and then I might move on to something else (can't promise though! πŸ˜†). This is the monochrome version which I sometimes start with when I stitch up a new design. I often feel torn between working with just black thread and filling the fabric with colour and I suppose that is a reflection of me, of my style and of life really. There is beauty in both and both can coexist - simple and complex, subtle and showy, quiet and loud etc....a few thoughts this Thursday #thoughtfulthursday 😊 The wings deserved a close up and their own post I think, so here they are, inspired by the humble but ever so beautiful blue tit. I achieved the kind of fluid effect through the use of graduation of colour and angle of the stitches. They might be my fave thing I have ever stitched! She Grew Wings', my new digital embroidery pattern and tutorial for beginners is available to purchase and download now via the link in my profile. The wings are quite striking, if I say so myself, but are achieved with 2 basic embroidery stitches, with just 5 stitches needed overall for the whole project. If you have any questions about the pattern, the materials required etc, please do get in touch. Morning loves! I've been busy behind the scenes working on my new embroidery pattern and getting to grips with some new (to me) technology, but I'm pleased to say there has been progress (phew!). My next digital embroidery pattern, 'She Grew Wings' will be available to download tomorrow. I'll be sending out my next Love Letter too, where I share the story behind it and some news about my small business going forward. You can sign up for my letters (which I send out a couple of times a season) via the link in my profile. Happy new week! 🌸🌸🌸 The yellow roses I planted in memory of my Dad are blooming now and they are much welcomed. Here is a sneak peek of my next embroidery pattern too, which I will release next week. It is the first of a range of patterns under the banner of 'Wings'. I will reveal more soon...Happy Friday loves 🌼🌼🌼
